What is Tomato Spa™?
Tomato Spa is a reusable protective cover designed to fit over a standard wire tomato cage. It creates a protective barrier around your tomato plant while allowing sunlight, water and airflow to reach the plant.
Does the tomato cage come with Tomato Spa?
No. Tomato Spa is the protective cover only. The tomato plant and wire tomato cage are not included.
What size tomato cage does it fit?
Tomato Spa is designed to fit standard tapered wire tomato cages. We will provide specific compatible cage dimensions before launch so you can confirm the fit before ordering.
When should I put Tomato Spa on my tomato plant?
Tomato Spa can be installed when you place your young tomato plant and cage in the garden. It's especially useful early in the growing season when plants may benefit from additional protection.
Can I water my plant with the cover on?
Yes. Tomato Spa is designed with strategically placed openings that allow you to water your plant without removing the entire cover.
How do I access my tomato plant?
A full-length front zipper provides easy access for tending, pruning, inspecting and harvesting your tomatoes.
Does Tomato Spa protect against pests?
Tomato Spa creates a physical barrier that can help deter many common garden pests from reaching your tomato plant. It is not intended to guarantee complete protection from every type of insect or garden pest.
Does Tomato Spa protect against cold weather?
Tomato Spa provides a more sheltered environment around your plant and can help reduce direct exposure to cool temperatures and changing weather conditions. It is not a frost-protection product and should not be relied upon to protect plants during freezing conditions.
Can I leave Tomato Spa on all season?
Tomato Spa is designed to be used throughout appropriate portions of the growing season. Garden conditions vary considerably by climate, temperature and sun exposure, so gardeners should monitor their plants and growing conditions accordingly.
Is Tomato Spa reusable?
Yes. Tomato Spa is designed to be cleaned, dried, stored and reused season after season when properly cared for.
Can Tomato Spa be used on plants other than tomatoes?
Although Tomato Spa was designed with tomatoes in mind, it may work with other plants grown within a compatible wire cage. Always make sure the plant has adequate room, airflow and appropriate growing conditions.
What's included with my order?
Each Tomato Spa includes the protective tomato cage cover. If you select a 3-Pack, you'll receive three covers. Tomato cages and plants are not included.
